2022 Baseball Registration Now Open

CHYSC Baseball Friends,

It is that time again - time to register for the 2022 CHYSC Baseball Season! Although it is cold outside, it is time to start building momentum for an amazing and memorable season of baseball.

Here is the registration link:

Our registration will include all levels of play in our program from our youngest players joining us for Quick Ball at  4 and 5 years old to our Senior Connie Mack players (ages 13-21) growing their skills in competitive travel league play. We encourage you to register as soon as possible. This will help us with our planning in the following ways:

  • we will be able to process uniform orders asap (supply chain issues could impact this)
  • we will be able to establish and assign teams in a timely fashion
  • we will be able to initiate our “Coach the Coaches” sessions
  • we will be able to welcome new volunteers to our growing program
  • we will be able to launch our Winter Training Sessions

In an effort to prepare our kids for the season ahead, we will be holding our off-season training again this year. Like past years, we will concentrate on enhancing our kids’ baseball fundamentals and situational awareness as we introduce them to drills and concepts. All of this will be accomplished in a fun and high-energy environment. These sessions will take place on Sunday afternoons starting on January 9 and ending on February 27. Over the weeks ahead, we will assess our needs by age group and set our schedule. Please realize that due to the impact of the pandemic, our ability to access gym space has been limited. As a result, we will do our best to get as many age groups as possible involved in our training sessions.

Our baseball program is in the midst of a very busy and productive offseason. In this respect, as a result of two very generous supporters of CHYSC Baseball, we just completed rebuilding our Majors field. More specifically, last Friday the final touches were just completed on the Majors infield with installation of sod (this field will remain fenced off & closed all winter to allow the sod to form roots). We now have two of the nicest infield diamonds in the area for our kids to play on at the Water Tower. These projects were a part of our long-term planning set several years ago. It is a tribute to all of our volunteers, coaches, and players that we have been able to foster a culture that supports and results in such achievements. We have a few other projects that we will be working on over the weeks ahead. If you have an interest in learning and/or supporting these endeavors, please feel free to reach out to me.

Thank you in advance for your continued support and energy,

Chestnut Hill Youth Sports Club

The Chestnut Hill Youth Sports Club (CHYSC) was founded in 1962 as The Chestnut Hill Fathers Club. The club name was changed in 2001 to better reflect the mission of the club.  We are a community organization of over fifteen hundred families devoted to providing team sports for our children. Although the large majority of our members are from Mt.Airy and Chestnut Hill, they also reside in various nearby communities including Germantown, Roxborough, Oak Lane, Whitemarsh, Erdenheim, Lafayette Hill, Wyndmoor, Flourtown and Oreland. Men, women, parents and non-parents, of all ages and ethnic, racial and social backgrounds volunteer to coach the teams, run the leagues, and administer the club. Their time and dedication benefit an equally diverse group of thirteen hundred children who live or go to school in the Northwest Philadelphia community.
