The Chestnut Hill Youth Sports Club (CHYSC) runs both Intramural and Travel Soccer Programs for boys and girls, ages 5-18. Every year nearly 1,000 players compete in these programs. Players of all skill levels are welcome, and players come from Chestnut Hill, Mt. Airy and several surrounding communities of Northwestern Philadelphia.

The CHYSC Intramural Program promotes a fun environment for players to be introduced to the fundamentals of soccer. With the multitude of schools that serve Northwest Philadelphia and the surrounding communities, it is a wonderful way for children to meet new friends and neighbors.
The youngest leagues are for 5 and 6 year old boys and girls. They are focused on fun drills and games that help to introduce the game of soccer and develop the skills that will serve the children into the future.
The club offers gender-specific (girls or boys) leagues for U8, U10 and U12 where players can expand on and hone their talents.
These age groups are followed by U15 Coed and U18 Coed which cover middle school through senior year of high school and strive for a social atmosphere in an enjoyably competitive environment. Intramural play starts the week after Labor Day and extends until early-mid November.

The CHYSC Travel Soccer Program provides motivated players with a highly competitive schedule of matches against club teams from neighboring communities. CHYSC Travel teams play in the Inter County Soccer League (“ICSL”), which includes club teams from Philadelphia, Montgomery and Bucks Counties. Travel teams are fielded from the U9 through U19 levels. Separate boys and girls teams are fielded in single-year age groupings. Travel teams also participate in tournaments outside of the 10-game league schedule.
Travel team rosters are formed by holding tryouts during the months of April-May. Any player who registers for a Travel team and is not selected will have the option of being placed on an Intramural team.
Our 2023 Futsal Season kicked off with our training partner YTP at Germantown Academy in early January and concluded in mid March. With high participation levels we are excited to continue our Futsal programming at our Club's outdoor Water Tower Court. More information to follow....stay tuned.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
The season will run from early January through early/mid-March. This program provides instruction from professional futsal trainers in conjunction with our CHYSC volunteer coaches to help develop superior foot skills and high speed decision-making. Each weekly session will include an hour of skill-building activities followed by 30 minutes of fun-filled scrimmaging.
Scheduled days can vary by age group and will depend on the availability of our volunteers. Days and times are currently to be determined. Venues will likely include Springside Chestnut Hill, and Germantown Friends School.
