Baseball
Click Here to Register Today! We're Ready for you!Chestnut Hill Baseball is the original and premier baseball program in the NW Philadelphia area. In 1962, a group of parents & teachers (mostly fathers) supported by local Mt. Airy & Chestnut Hill businesses began providing high quality organized sports throughout the year as the Chestnut Hill Fathers Club headquartered at The Water Tower Recreation Center in Chestnut Hill. Today the Chestnut Hill Youth Sports Club continues this vital benefit to the children and teenagers in our surrounding communities. While still headquartered at The Water Tower, the Club has expanded its physical sites over the years through the generosity of local schools and property owners; Chestnut Hill Academy, Springside School, Crefeld School and others have provided quality playing fields and indoor facilities for the past 47 years. The Club is particularly proud of its state of the art outdoor baseball, soccer and lacrosse fields at the Carson Valley School in Flourtown. In partnership with the Carson Valley School, the Club and The Springside School have developed a first class, grass athletic field complex that includes a 90-foot baseball field as well as multiple soccer and lacrosse fields. This field is home to all our Senior Baseball Program teams. The Club utilizes both volunteers and professional turf management companies to maintain the two fields at Water Tower throughout the year through funding provided by program fees, outfield fence advertising income, snack bar proceeds and generous donations by individuals and local businesses. These are the only playing fields maintained by the Club itself and are considered to be among the best baseball playing surfaces within the city. Volunteers are the most important aspect of maintaining these fields and we encourage all our members to be as involved as their schedules permit. The Club provides all the necessary equipment including mowers, tools and hoses to groom the fields for game play. Please volunteer through our on-line volunteer registration when registering your child.
